Chronicle of Higher Education

Trying to control the digitized world? haha! hat's funny. i beleive their is no way a person or a group of people can really "take over" the internet or digitized works like books journals etc on the internet and computers. Like we were talking about in class how people were talking about censoring the internet. i beleive that is also a bunch of bolgonia. Now this all can get in the same realm of copyrighting and rights to things. If someone is going to try to take on THE INTERNET  im pretty sure they are going to lose just as these people are trying to protect digitized works. i think that digitizing works is good and will preserve them for future generations incase there is a zombie apocalypse.~Nickel

Database or Interface?

Navigating a database or interface can either be a challenge or a hassle. This all can depend on how the user layed out the website, seaarch engine etc. Databases are just big storage units that hold information but instead of having one door they have many. For example out library database we have here on campus. it can be accessed through the library, anywhere on campus or at your home 500 miles away. Databases are EASY AND FUN... sometimes.

The interface part comes into play on how user friendly the database is or isn't. An interface is where 2 or more people or "things" come into contact with eachother and take or receive information. It is a critical part in databases because its usually the front door to a database.GET YO D BASE ON~Nickel
